The Korean-Thai Chamber of Commerce (KTCC) was established in 1977 for the promotion of trade and economic cooperation between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Korea.
KTCC, registered under the Interior Trade Department of Ministry of Commerce, has since been recognized its official integrity and remarkable activities throughout the decades of its existence. In the meantime, KTCC has been participating both in the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce (JFCCT) and in the Board of Trade of Thailand (BOT), the latter of which is an organization directly under the auspice of Prime Minister’s Office of Thailand.
Accordingly, KTCC is thus a unique official organization of Korean-Thai business sector with an active business-network between the prominent Thai businessmen and the Korean investors to Thailand. With the accumulated know-how and the professional expertise in doing business in Thailand, KTCC has offered specialized services to its members as well as contributions in the bilateral economic cooperation between Korea and Thailand.
For a firmer settlement of Korean investments to Thailand and their subsequent growth in volume and quality, KTCC is prepared to assist its members in solving difficulties in management, communications and legal matters. Besides, as an officially registered private sector organization, KTCC is able to protect benefits of its obliged member. Currently, KTCC has plans to develop several projects to promote exchange and cooperation among the members.
At the same time, in this rapidly changing business environments, KTCC prepares itself to be able to render professional information in economic developments for the members to counter-act upon the unforeseen situations. Particularly in this age of highly advanced IT technology, it is necessary to obtain the most up-to-date business information to strengthen competitiveness. KTCC is working on the services that are suitable for this particular purpose.
To support the exploration of overseas’ markets and the expansion of Korean investment to Thailand, KTCC will further consolidate the existing contacts with JFCCT and BOT, and also will establish a global business network with the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Provincial Chambers of Commerce in Korea.
